Online FAQ

Q. How do I take an online course?
A. Some of our online courses start anytime while others have specific monthly start dates. To learn more about how to take an online course, you can view a video tutorial and interactive demo of our courses here

Q. Do I have to be online at a specific time?
A. Currently, none of our online courses require you to be online at a specific time or on a specific day.

Q. How long do I have to complete the course?
A. The length of time you have to complete your course varies. For our online courses with specific start dates, you generally have about two weeks after the final exam release date to complete all assignments, quizzes, and the final exam (for a total of 8 weeks). For our start anytime courses, you may have from 3 to 6 months to complete the course, depending upon the subject matter.

Q. What if I don't finish in the time allowed?
A. Most of our courses do offer an extension possibility, though we encourage you to complete your courses in a timely manner. If you need to get an extension, please contact the online coordinator for instructions.

Q. How do I get my certificate?
A. You do not need to request a certificate. After you have completed your online course, we will mail you a completion certificate within a few weeks. If you have completed one of our series certificate programs, we will also send you that certificate within a few weeks of completion of the final course in the series.

Q. Are books included in the price of this course?
A. Books are included with some courses, but not all. Many courses do not require separate books. Please check the individual course description to find out if books are included for your course. If books are required, but not included in the price, the course description will mention the required books. These books are generally available through the KSU Bookstore. Please contact online@kennesaw.edu for questions regarding books.

Q. How can I get the software I need for my online course?
A. You can purchase most software needed for an online course at academic prices through the KSU Bookstore. To purchase software from the KSU Bookstore, you must have a permission letter from the program coordinator. For more information on this, please contact online@kennesaw.edu.

Q. What is your refund policy?
A. Our refund policy varies depending on the type of course in which you are enrolled. For details, please see our online course refund policy.
